Easy Apple Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 2 apples Fuji, Gala, or Granny Smith recommended
  • 1 cup of milk regular or nondairy
  • 1-2 tablespoons of sweetener sugar-free caramel syrup, honey, maple syrup, or agave syrup
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1 cup of ice adjust for desired consistency

Method
 

  1. Begin by washing the apples thoroughly. Peel and core the apples if you prefer a smoother texture, or leave the peels on for added fiber.
  2. Cut the apples into smaller chunks to make sure they blend easily.
  3. In a blender, combine the apple chunks, milk, sweetener, cinnamon, and ice.
  4. Start blending on low speed and gradually increase to high power, blending until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  5. If the smoothie is too thick, add a little more milk and blend again until you reach the desired consistency.
  6. Taste the smoothie and adjust the sweetness by adding more sweetener if needed.
  7. Pour the smoothie into a glass and enjoy immediately, or top with your choice of granola, coconut flakes, or nut butter.
  8. For the best results, consider using frozen fruits instead of fresh apples for a thicker, creamier texture. You can also add a scoop of protein powder or Greek yogurt for an extra nutritional boost.
